Scan it. Measure it. Bid it.
Scanstead turns your iPhone's LiDAR into a measuring crew. Walk a room and get instant measurements, a dimensioned floor plan, and a 3D model — then send the scan to Trusso and let AI price the job from real numbers.
- Floor area, wall area, ceiling height — captured automatically
- Whole-house models from back-to-back room scans
- USDZ 3D export, AR view, dimensioned 2D floor plans
Included free with every Trusso subscription. Requires an iPhone Pro (12 Pro or newer) or iPad Pro with LiDAR, iOS 17+.
From doorway to dollhouse
Real output from a real scan — a bedroom, then a full two-story house captured room by room and merged into one model.

Everything the tape measure misses
Scan a room in minutes
Walk the room with your iPhone and LiDAR captures walls, doors and windows automatically — no tape measure, no sketching.
Whole-house capture
Scan rooms back-to-back and Scanstead merges them into a single aligned multi-floor model with per-room breakdowns.
Every measurement, instantly
Floor area, perimeter, ceiling height, net wall surface area for takeoffs, plus per-wall, door and window dimensions.
Dimensioned floor plans
A clean 2D floor plan with dimension labels and color-coded doors, windows and openings. Pinch and pan to inspect.
3D models you can share
Export any room or the whole house as a USDZ model — view it in AR, orbit it in 3D, or share it to Files and Mail.
Outdoors too
Trace a lot or patio for ground area and perimeter, or capture a building exterior for wall-area estimates.
Built for Trusso
From scan to estimate in one tap

Frequently asked questions
- What do I need to run Scanstead?
- An iPhone or iPad with a LiDAR sensor running iOS 17 or later — that's iPhone 12 Pro or newer Pro models, or iPad Pro (2020 and later). LiDAR is what makes the measurements accurate, so it's required for scanning.
- How accurate are the measurements?
- Scanstead uses Apple's RoomPlan framework with the LiDAR sensor, which is accurate to within a few inches on typical rooms — more than enough for takeoffs, estimates and material counts. For finish work that needs exact dimensions, verify critical measurements on site.
- Can I scan a whole house?
- Yes. Scan rooms one after another in a single session and Scanstead merges them into one aligned whole-house 3D model, with per-room measurements, floor-by-floor dollhouse views, and house totals like floor area, wall count, doors, windows and staircases.
- What can I export?
- Every scan exports as a USDZ 3D model you can share to Files, Mail or any app, and open in augmented reality. Measurements and floor plans live in the app, and sending a scan to Trusso carries the full measurement data into your estimate.
- How does it work with Trusso?
- Scanstead is Trusso's scanning companion. Send any scan to your Trusso account and the AI estimator drafts a line-item estimate from the real measurements — wall area for paint, floor area for flooring, window and door counts. Trusso teams can activate Scanstead for everyone in the org.
- How much does it cost?
- Scanstead is free if you have a Trusso subscription — your organization activates it and everyone on the team gets it at no extra cost. Without Trusso, Scanstead Pro is $10.99/month or $79.99/year after a free 7-day trial.
