Pro · Google Review Requests

Ask every customer for a Google review — automatically.

Reviews win jobs, but nobody remembers to ask for them. When a job wraps up, Trusso texts your customer a direct link to Google's review form for your business — and follows up once, politely. Included on the Pro plan, $59/month.

Two-minute setup. Works with service-area listings — no storefront needed.

Job complete · Summit Electric

Review request sent automatically

Sent
Hi Jane, thank you for choosing Summit Electric. Would you mind sharing your experience on Google? It only takes a minute: g.page/r/summit-electric
  1. Delivered · 4:12 PM

Sent automatically when the job was marked complete.

  2. Link tapped · 6:03 PM

Google's review form opened for Summit Electric — logged on Jane's timeline.

  3. Reminder · skipped

Jane already tapped the link, so no follow-up goes out.

How it works

From finished job to Google's review form — automatically

  1. Step 01

    The job wraps up

You mark the job complete — or the invoice gets fully paid. You pick which one triggers the ask, and it fires at most once per job.

  2. Step 02

    Trusso texts the customer

They get a short, polite text with a direct link to review your business on Google. The wording is yours to edit — the link always stays put.

  3. Step 03

    They tap, Google opens

The link opens Google's write-a-review form for your listing — no searching, no hunting for your business page. The tap is logged on their timeline.

  4. Step 04

    One polite reminder

If they haven't tapped after 3 days (set anywhere from 1 to 14), Trusso follows up once. Already tapped, opted out, or cancelled? It's skipped automatically.

The honest way to ask

Everything you need — and nothing you'd regret

Review tools get businesses in trouble when they get pushy or selective. Trusso asks the way you would: once, politely, and to everyone.

What's included

  • A direct link that opens Google's write-a-review form for your listing
  • Automatic trigger, your choice: job marked complete or invoice fully paid
  • Manual sends from any customer, job, or invoice
  • Editable SMS — the review link stays a protected variable
  • One polite reminder, configurable from 1 to 14 days
  • Delivery and link taps logged on the customer's timeline
  • Two-minute setup in Settings → Reviews
  • Works on mobile and web

What it will never do

  • Send more than one automated request per job
  • Text customers who opted out — STOP is honored instantly
  • Send late-night texts — quiet hours are built in
  • Filter for happy customers — every customer gets the same honest ask
  • Offer discounts or incentives in exchange for reviews
  • Claim to know whether a review was written — it tracks the tap; Google keeps the rest private

Want a request held back on a specific job? Cancel it with one tap — the reminder is cancelled with it.

Compliance built in

Your reputation is the product. So we protect it.

  • Plays by Google's rules

Google prohibits review gating — only asking the customers you expect to be positive. Trusso sends every customer the same honest ask for feedback, with no incentives attached, so the reviews you earn are ones you can stand behind.

  • Respectful by default

Opt-outs are honored instantly — one STOP cancels everything, reminder included. And requests wait for reasonable hours, so nobody's phone buzzes at midnight.

  • Everything on the record

Every request, delivery, and link tap is logged on the customer's timeline, so you always know exactly who was asked, when, and whether they tapped through.

Setup

Connected in about two minutes

  1. 1 · Find your listing

In Settings → Reviews, search for your business by name, phone number, or city.

  2. 2 · Confirm it's you

We show the listing's rating and review count so you know it's the right one. Can't find it? Paste your Google review link and you're set.

  3. 3 · Pick your trigger

Choose whether requests go out when a job is marked complete or when the invoice is fully paid. The next finished job sends the first ask.

FAQ

Google review requests, answered

Does it work if my business doesn't show an address on Google?
Yes. Service-area listings — common for contractors who work out of a truck rather than a storefront — are fully supported. Search by your business name, phone number, or city in Settings → Reviews, and if the search can't surface your listing, you can paste your Google review link directly instead.
Can I edit the message my customers receive?
Yes. The SMS wording is yours to change however you like. The one part you can't edit is the review link itself — it stays a protected variable so the message always points to Google's write-a-review form for your listing.
Will Trusso text people who opted out?
Never. STOP and other opt-outs are honored instantly, and an opted-out customer never receives the reminder either. Requests also respect quiet hours, so no one gets a late-night text.
Can I send requests only to my happiest customers?
No — and that's deliberate. Google prohibits review gating (cherry-picking the reviewers you expect to be positive), and businesses have been penalized for it. Trusso sends every customer the same honest ask for feedback, which keeps your reviews legitimate and your listing safe.
How many reminders does Trusso send?
One. If the customer hasn't tapped the link after 3 days (configurable from 1 to 14), they get a single polite reminder. It's skipped automatically if they've already tapped the link, opted out, or the request was cancelled — and no job ever gets more than one automated request.
Can I send a review request manually?
Yes. Beyond the automatic trigger, you can send a request from any customer, job, or invoice — on mobile or web. It's handy for past customers who finished up before you turned the feature on.

Your last job earned a review. Ask for it.
