- How much does the AI Receptionist cost?
- It's an add-on to any Trusso plan: $29/month for 100 call minutes or $49/month for 200 minutes. Need more? Recharge packs are $15 for 50 extra minutes, and unlike plan minutes, recharge minutes roll over month to month. Optional auto-recharge tops you up automatically when you run low.
- Do I need a new phone number?
- No. You keep your existing business number and turn on conditional call forwarding — calls forward to Trusso only when you're busy or don't answer. You answer like normal; the AI only picks up the calls you'd otherwise miss. Contractors on the Unlimited plan can also get a dedicated Trusso number.
- Do callers know they're talking to an AI?
- Yes. Every call starts with a clear disclosure that they've reached an AI assistant for your business. In our experience callers are glad someone picked up at all — and the voice is natural enough to hold a real conversation, including being interrupted.
- What can it tell my customers?
- After a caller verifies who they are by confirming their name and address, the AI can share that customer's own appointments, job status, estimates and invoices, and can resend documents like invoices or payment links to the email or phone already on file. It never discusses one customer's information with another caller.
- Can the AI change my schedule or prices?
- No — by design. The AI cannot create or modify invoices, estimates, prices, schedules or payments, and it never quotes prices you haven't published. Requests like rescheduling are captured as pending items for you to approve. You stay in control of every commitment.
- What happens when a brand-new customer calls?
- The AI captures them as a lead — name, phone number, and what they need — takes a message, and notifies you immediately by push and SMS. The lead lands in your Trusso pipeline alongside your Angi, Thumbtack and website leads.
- What if I run out of minutes?
